Well, this episode has a hell of an ending. Stan is still cynical and Randy is gone. Kyle has resorted to hanging out with Cartman. It's a difficult time for Stan in South Park.

The tweens are the years just before puberty, say from 9 to 12 or 13. Many friendships make it through the tweens just fine, but there are a few that dissolve because of diverging interests. Matt and Trey apply it to the beginning of centuries - in this case, 2009 to 2012 (according to the CNN anchorman) or 2013 (according to the janitor).
With the Marshes splitting up and selling the house, where will Grandpa Marsh go? Or is he now in a care center for the elderly?
What will become of Stan now? I don't know, but he may just have gotten his degree without telling his friends...
