  2. January 10, 2012 - South Park Season 15 is scheduled to come to home video on March 27! :)

South Park - 'The Complete 15th Season' on DVD and Blu-ray Disc: Street Date, Box Art, Extras, More!

All fourteen episodes from South Park's fifteenth season are available in this exclusive three- disc set. Join the boys as they take on revolutionary product development, start new business ventures, cope with the struggles of getting older and join the U.S. Border Patrol. For them, it's all part of growing up in South Park!
Comedy Central and distributor Paramount Home Entertainment have announced DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc releases for South Park - The Complete 15th Season, coming out in both formats on March 27th. Each 3-disc set (308 minutes) will include bonus material such as Deleted Scenes, Behind the Scenes of "City Sushi", and the Featurette "6 Days to Air: The Making of South Park". Both versions are listed as having widescreen video and English subtitles; the DVD includes English 2.0 Stereo sound while the Blu-ray release boasts of English 5.1 Dolby TrueHD and 5.1 Dolby Digital audio. Pricing hasn't been revealed, but going by the last two season sets the DVD version will be $49.99 SRP and the Blu-ray version will be $57.99 SRP. Here's the packaging for both formats (right-click for big):
  3. January 19, 2012 - If you want to purchase the official script to The Book of Mormon, you can do it here! I'm working on a transcript of the play as performed 10 months ago. It's not finished, but I already know that there are small differences between this performance and the official script.
  4. January 24, 2012 - I've put up some dyns for the play.
  5. February 12, 2012 - Grammy Awards 2012: 'Book of Mormon' wins for musical theater
  6. March 2, 2012 - Leap Day is gone, and South Park returns in two weeks. But South Park Studios hasn't been updated for the upcoming season. And the message board there still has problems: the expressions don't work (but they do on the UK site), the default expression is a frown instead of whatever you put there when you make your avatar, there's no reply link when you want to reply to a PM, images are still disabled in sigs, and you still can't use off-site avatars. Not a good message board setup.
  7. March 3, 2012 - Grouped secrets, transcript, and guests for Book of Mormon into the Episode Guide. You can find lyrics to the play here or use the ones in my transcript (there are differences between them).
  8. March 7, 2012 - So Comedy Central is now airing promos for the new season. Several SPS BBS viewers are posting what they see. Below is a summary of what they're seeing:
    1. Two clips show Butters and Cartman hunting a chupacabra:
      Butters: "I'm scared..."
Cartman: [flatly] "You can't scare a chupacabra, Butters."
    2. One clip shows Cartman yelling "Who do you want me cheating off of?!"
    3. One clip shows everyone outside at night:
      Kyle: "What's going on?"
    4. One clip, which is likely related to the one above, shows firefighters in a bathroom figuring out how to pull Clyde's mother off a toilet while it's sucking her in with a flush. Clyde watches apprehensively
    5. Three clips show Cartman on a zipline ride:
Ride Operator: "ZIP LINE!!!" [releases Cartman]
      Kyle: "How was it, Cartman?!"
      Cartman: "Totally fucking stupid, dude!"

Having seen the clips, I can say they're all mixed up, and I've sorted them out.

  9. March 11, 2012 - Info for the first episode of the season now up!

    Episode 1601 - Reverse Cowgirl

After a South Park citizen meets with an unfortunate accident, the TSA steps in to prevent it from happening again. One of the boys had been told time and time again about leaving the toilet seat up after he goes to the bathroom, but he didnt listen. His actions have consequences and ultimately result in an unimaginable catastrophe.

From this and the entry above, we can construct the following plot: Clyde goes to the bathroom to pee, but forgets to put down the seat when he's finished. His mom goes to use the toilet at night, after everyone's gone to bed. She falls in, and in her haste to get up, she flushes the toilet. It sucks her in, and Clyde has to call 911 so fire can come to get his mom off the toilet. The TSA gets wind of this and investigates, then drafts some new, er, traffic laws, one of which is to equip all toilets with seat belts so no one can fall in again.

  10. March 17, 2012 - Some fans have requested this, so I've compiled some Deaths In South Park.
  11. March 19, 2012 - Info for the second episode of the season now up!

Episode 1602 - Cash For Gold

Cartman launches a gemstones network show and creates a very lucrative business. Stan searches for the real value of a piece of jewelry that was a gift from his Grandpa. Meanwhile, Cartman's lucrative new business preys upon an extremely vunerable clientele.
  12. March 21, 2012 - That episode felt rather barebones. The filler from the gem show and the jewelry cycle between the US and India didn't help.

Spring 2012

  1. March 26, 2012 - Info for the third episode of the season now up!

    Episode 1603 - Faith Hilling

The boys are consumed with a life-threatening phenomenon. Mankind's evolution begins to accelerate at a rapid and disturbing pace. Concurrently, another species on the planet is exhibiting the same drastic development. Eventually the two species will battle to the death and "Faith Hilling" may be humanitys only hope.

  2. April 1, 2012 - Info for the fourth episode of the season now up!

    Episode 1604 - Jewpacabra

South Park's big Easter egg hunt is in jeopardy when there are rumors of a dangerous beast lurking in the woods nearby. Cartman tries to warn everyone that their lives are at risk if they participate in the egg hunt. No one believes him until he produces video evidence of the mysterious being.

  3. April 9, 2012 - Info for the fifth episode of the season now up!

    Episode 1605 - Butterballs

Bullying has become a national health epidemic and South Park Elementary is not immune. Stan wants to raise awareness about the dangers of bullying by shooting a big dance video. Will he able to handle the pressure that goes along with the notoriety of taking on such a worthy cause?

  4. April 16, 2012 - Info for the sixth episode of the season now up!

Episode 1606 - I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining

Spring Break won't last forever and the kids want to make the last day count. The boys are excited to spend a day ziplining in the Colorado Mountains. But high in the Rockies, far from their families, their trip takes a bad turn. Chances of survival are slim. All they can do is wait to be rescued. But will help come too late?

  5. April 23, 2012 - Info for the seventh episode of the season now up!

Episode 1607 - Cartman Finds Love

Cupid runs rampant in South Park. There's a new girl in school and everyone wants to know who she has a crush on. Cartman is especially excited. He's discovered something inside himself that he never knew he had. Now, to make sure nobody gets in the way of true love, it's time for Cartman to finally let someone know exactly how he feels.

  6. April 27, 2012 - Season 16b is scheduled to start on September 26, according to South Park Studios' admin, nall.
  7. May 20, 2012 - Two news items: There will be a South Park festival in Fairplay this summer, and South Park: The Game has been renamed South Park: The Stick of Truth. Its release date is now sometime in January. And so, the announcements:

This August, Bishop Family Entertainment is putting on Park Fest - a South Park themed convention. Unlike the previous mini-cons covered on the Scriptorium, we're actually going all-out by booking stars from the series for the event. Eliza Schneider, Dian Bachar, and Celeste Javier are just a few of the names signed.

South Park: The Stick Of Truth Delayed Until 2013

Those who were primed and ready to indulge in the foul-mouthed antics that ďSouth Park: The Stick Of TruthĒ were going to offer, will now have wait to even longer, with the game being delayed by THQ until next year.

The game, which is classified as a RPG, allows you to play the role of new kid on the block, getting caught up in all the weird and wonderful adventures we have come to love from the show. The Stick Of Truth is still expected to be released on PS3, Xbox 360 with a unmentioned PC version also on the cards.

THQ announced the delay during their latest earnings report, with a new planned release for the fourth quarter of its fiscal year. This isnít the only game to find itself delayed until 2013. The much-anticipated Tomb Raider and Bioshock: Infinite have also fell victim and have been delayed until next year.

As to why the delay even happened, many speculate that Obsidian and South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker want more time to polish the game, with THQ vice president Danny Bilson stating in a recent interview:

Matt and Trey wonít ship until itís their vision of this ultimate role-playing game, where youíre the new kid in town and itís like being in a South Park episode.

Another theory suggests the recent layoffs at Obsidian Entertainment might be the reason behind it, as members of the development team behind the South Park game were let go and with an unannounced title also getting binned in the process.

South Park: The Stick Of Truth has the potential to sell many units for THQ considering the franchiseís massive worldwide market. They will now however have to go up against heavyweights like Tomb Raider and Bioshock, which are set to be released around the same time.

  8. June 11, 2012 - I saw a question about Tweek's full name on South Park Studios' FB page a short while ago, and I must rectify that now: Tweek's full name is not Tweek Tweak, as people have thought for many years. See below.
This is Tweek's father, Richard. As you can see, his badge says "Mr. Tweek" on it. That makes him Richard Tweek. And what does that make Tweek? Tweek Tweek, of course.
Mark your calendars for March 5 2013, or pre-order the game now!

Summer 2012

  1. June 23, 2012 - Happy summer!!! South Park In The News:
    1. South Park Wins Legal Battle of the "Butt" - a win for parody! :)
    2. What All Content Marketers Can Learn From 'South Park' - tl:dr (or Cliff Notes) version:
      1. Be distinctive. You canít be all things to all people. (MnT will agree with that)
      2. Align content strategy with topical themes of interest Ė specifically those that appeal to people you want to reach. (MnT will say they only put on air what makes them laugh, never mind anyonen else, but once in a while they'll put up something they think thte fans would like)
      3. Understand that brand appreciation comes through subtleties in content delivery versus direct selling. (MnT would go "...What?")
      4. Think content versus format first. If itís good it will spawn different ways of spreading the story. (MnT will agree with that)
    3. Jesse Curtis Morton (aka Younus Abdullah Muhammed) sentenced to 138 months in prison for threats against "South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker
  2. July 13, 2012 - I have never attended a convention, but here's South Park Studios' Art Department (aka The Bunker) at San Diego's Comic Con.
  3. July 16, 2012 - There's some bad news, and there's some good news involving South Park Fest this year. A word from the creators of that event:
Okay, so bad and good news, guys. The show has been canceled for this year, but they're doing one next year AND offering half-off VIP tickets at the moment. Hopefully those of you who didn't hear about it in time this year can go next year!
Wild fires in Colorado are the reason for the cancellation.
  4. July 19, 2012 - Emmy nominations are out. Let's see what South Park is nominated for...
    Outstanding Nonfiction Special
6 Days To Air: The Making Of South Park ē Comedy Central ē Presented by Comedy Central

    Arthur Bradford, Executive Producer
    Jennifer Ollman, Supervising Producer
It has no nominatiions in the animation cattegory.
  5. July 25, 2012 - Here's a tweet from a big South Park fan. :) It's over a year old, but I just found it today:
  6. August 23, 2012 - For anyone who doesn't already know, the episode playet at South Park Studios is no longer working properly. I've sent messages to nall and BearyBear and have yet to hear back from them. Meanwhile, the number of complaints about it continues to grow. The best I can do for y'all is tell you to watch the episodes at, or better yet, on Hulu.
  7. September 5, 2012 - I used to visit the SPS BBS through the UK site whenever I wanted to use facial expressions other than the default one, because hey, "Post with attitude: Select your avatar's expression." Expressions didn't work on the US site, and still don't, and now they don't work on the UK site either. If South Park Studios wants us to use the avatar expressions, they should make those expressions work. Otherwise, they should remove the other four expressions as well as the "Post with attitude: Select your avatar's expression" message. Nall has known about this problem on the US site ever since the expressions were added to the reply window, but hasn't done a thing about it... unless disabling them on the UK site was his idea, in which case, what the hell???
  8. September 19, 2012 - There's an update on Trey's early career, just after he left college. Check out the Timeline (1990s) for that info.
  9. September 19, 2012 - Posted two days ago on Twitter:
